This study determined the significant relationship between nonverbal commu-nication and teaching styles at Cesar Vallejo University (UCV), Peru. For this purpose, a de-scriptive-correlational design with a sample of 70 volunteer teachers from the UCV (31.4% women and 68.6% men) was undertaken. The study variables were nonverbal communication with the dimensions of kinesics, proxemics, paralinguistics, diacritics, and teaching styles with their dimensions focused on cognition, conceptualization, empathy and behavior. The study showed that nonverbal communication (NVC) does significantly relate to teaching styles fo-cused on conceptualization and teachers’ empathy at the UCV. Likewise, proxemics, paralin-guistics and diacritics of nonverbal communication (NVC) are significantly related to teaching styles focused on cognition and behavior at the UCV.
