In Vallejo’s workshop: some comparisons between the first versions and definitive versions of poems published in the first edition of Los heraldos negros

Abstract

A comparison of seven poems of Los Heraldos Negros de César Vallejo with earlier versions published in magazines and newspapers: “Los heraldos negros,” “Nochebuena,” “Aves­truz,” “El poeta a su amada,” “La copa negra,” “Yeso” y “Hojas de ébano.” Also, a detailed consideration of aspects of each poem.
