Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

Author Guidelines

Espergesia journal publishes in Spanish and English with a continuous semiannual periodicity.

The submission of the works can be done through two options:

1. Registering on the official website of the journal (recommended).
2. Sending your proposal to espergesia@ucv.edu.pe

In both cases, the proposal must contain the article file (see template), clarifying that in the case of systematic reviews and essays it must be adapted as required, and also a cover letter (see template).

 

Important elements to take into account when the paper is submitted:

  1. It is important to indicate in the paper if the research has been verified by an ethics committee and if it has been necessary to request an informed consent for the collection of information.
  2. Authors must declare any conflict of interest that has arisen in the preparation of the article, be it personal, economic or political.
  3. To locate keywords, the review of the UNESCO thesaurus is recommended.
  4. All authors must send in their data the institutional and departmental affiliation (maximum 3 hierarchical levels), as well as their ORCID (mandatory) and contact emails; however, a corresponding author must be declared.
  5. Since 2022, the Credit authorship taxonomy began to be implemented, so they must declare the contribution of each author before the bibliographic references.
  6. From 2023 it must be declared if the article belongs to a research project financed by public and private entities and indicate its Code in case of have it.
  7. The journal accepts manuscripts previously deposited in preprint servers (declare this condition in the submission). If the data collected is hosted on a server, reference should also be made to it, it is desirable that the complete data be available at the time of sending.


WORK STRUCTURE

Original Research: Scientific studies that address relevant aspects of the area of ​​Education and Social Sciences.


First page: Full title (no more than fifteen words) in Spanish and English. Data of the authors: name and last name; email; institution; city; country; and Orcid alphanumeric code. Abstract of 150-200 words in Spanish and English. Keywords (maximum six, separated by semicolons). Following pages: Introduction (includes the theoretical framework), Methodology, Results, Discussion, Conclusions and Bibliographic references. Pages: minimum 8, maximum 20.

Systematic reviews: Scientific articles that, following a specific methodology, a specific time frame, and a pre-established protocol, systematize knowledge about a specific topic.

First page: Full title (no more than fifteen words) in Spanish and English. Data of the authors: name and last name; email; institution; city; country; and Orcid alphanumeric code. Abstract of 150-200 words in Spanish and English. Keywords (maximum six, separated by semicolons). Following pages: Introduction (includes the theoretical framework), Methodology, Results, Discussion, Conclusions and Bibliographic references. Both the references included in the review and those used for the development of the introduction; They must be recorded in the bibliographical references. Pages: minimum 8, maximum 15.

Essays: Argumentative and reflective studies related to the thematic lines of the journal, which are of great interest to the international scientific community. In these essays, the critical and reflective judgment of the author should prevail.

Abstract of 150-200 words in Spanish and English. Keywords (maximum six, separated by semicolons). Following pages: Introduction, Development, Conclusions and Bibliographical references. Pages: minimum 8, maximum 15.

Articles will be submitted in Word format, A4, Times New Roman 12 font, single spaced, and margins set by the Word operating system. For Citations and Bibliographic References, the APA 7th Rules will be used (see manual).
